Despite improvements over the past decades, gender inequality persists in all spheres of social and economic life. Advancing gender equality in the workforce requires a combination of interventions targeting employers, families, and the society more broadly. This webinar will focus on key types of measures which are vital to support a more gender-equal labour market, encompassing parental leave, childcare, flexible work, pay transparency, as well as non-discrimination legislation. It will feature panellists from international organisations, governments and academia, who will provide cross-national and country evidence on key gender gaps and policies to address them. The event is co-organised by the OECD and the Government of Dubai.
